Dean Storm is a designer, filmmaker, educator, and creative director. In 2014, he founded The Storm Co., a creative agency and motion picture production studio based in Detroit. The Storm Co. creates beautifully crafted, thoughtfully designed short films.
Dean studied Architecture and earned his M.Arch from the University of Detroit Mercy. He currently teaches at UDM and runs studios in Architectural Design and Digital Media and lectures in Architectural History and Theory. He also teaches courses in Design at Lawrence Technological University.
Previously, Dean was an associate partner with Spirit of Space, an architectural film company based in Chicago. He initiated and led the Detroit office while helping the company expand both creatively and geographically. As a director and editor, he managed multiple projects with a variety of clients, and as the team's lead writer, he helped develop the written voice of the company.
Dean is now focused on crafting films with The Storm Co. and is continually seeking fresh collaborations.
